“Supporting Dancers, Igniting Artistry” —Alexys Friol, Artistic Director
Welcome to Studio A!
At Studio A Dance & Pilates, movement is more than what we do—it’s what inspires us. Through high-quality dance and Pilates instruction, we create a welcoming and supportive space where every individual can build strength, gain confidence, and reach their fullest potential.

About Us
Studio A was created to be more than a place to dance or practice Pilates—it was created to be a space where people feel supported, inspired, and at home. As Buffalo’s only studio bringing dance and Pilates together under one roof, we believe in the power of movement to build strength, confidence, and connection. Through thoughtful instruction and a genuine sense of community, we strive to make every person who walks through our doors feel valued, encouraged, and empowered to grow.
Alexys Friol

Alexys is the Artistic Director, choreographer, and Pilates instructor at Studio A Dance & Pilates. With a lifelong background in dance and a genuine passion for movement, she brings both experience and heart into everything she teaches.
Her extensive training in competitive dance has shaped her approach to technique, artistry, and performance, while her Pilates certification allows her to incorporate strength, control, flexibility, and body awareness into her teaching. By bringing these two disciplines together, Alexys creates thoughtful and engaging classes that encourage individuals to feel strong, confident, and connected to their movement.
Alexys also holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminology from the University at Buffalo. Her background in psychology has further shaped her understanding of confidence, motivation, and personal growth—values that are at the heart of her teaching philosophy.
Alexys is passionate about creating a space where every dancer and Pilates client feels supported, encouraged, and valued. Through Studio A, she hopes to inspire others to challenge themselves, believe in their abilities, and discover just how much they are capable of.
